Ms. Mutchler is a graduate of Texas Woman’s University where she received a Bachelors of Science in Nursing in 1997. She received a Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from South Texas College of law in 2005 where she graduated magna cum laude and was a member of the South Texas Law Review.
Ms. Mutchler began her professional career as a Registered Nurse. She currently represents clients in civil litigation. She is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of Texas, the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of Texas and the United States Court of Federal Claims.
Ms. Mutchler is a member of the State Bar of Texas and the American Bar Association. Her publications and seminars include:
- Musical Chairs: Apportioning Responsibility with Wes Christian. This paper was published in Volume 44 of the State Bar Litigation Section Report, The Advocate (Fall 2008). The Report was a special edition Five Year Retrospective on H.B. 4.
- Expert Witnesses and Daubert Challenges with Wes Christian. This paper was presented at the 2007 and 2008 Advanced Evidence and Discovery Seminars sponsored by the Texas Bar Association. The paper covered recent Daubert/Robinson case law and tips for presenting and excluding expert witnesses.
- Internet Legal Research Guide for Plaintiff’s Attorneys with James W. Christian. This paper was presented at the 2006 Advanced Evidence and Discovery Seminars sponsored by the Texas Bar Association. The paper covered the many resources available to attorneys through the internet.
- Alien Tort Claims and Other Ways to Obtain Jurisdiction over Corporations Affiliated with U.S. Corporations with James W. Christian. This paper was presented at the Energy Institute Seminar February 16-17, 2006 and discussed how non-citizens have used the Alien Tort Claims Act to bring lawsuits in U.S. courts against both foreign and U.S. individuals and corporations.
- Space Age Spoliation and Database Case Management with Stephen Ray Smith. This paper was presented at the Legal Secretaries of Texas Annual Meeting on October 6-9, 2005 and detailed discovery concerns in the digital age.
Ms. Mutchler and her husband have two adventurous sons. Her interests include spending time with her family and friends while traveling and scuba diving.
